Senior Researcher in economics, University of Zurich

Kai Gehring is a senior researcher at the University of Zurich, funded by a 4-year ‘Ambizione Grant’ of the Swiss National Science Foundation. He holds a PhD from the University of Goettingen. He previously conducted research stays at Harvard, Cambridge, CESifo, Deakin University and Stanford. His main research interests are (international) political economy and economic development, with a special interest on questions that relate cultural and psychological aspects to economic or political theories and integrate them into empirical analyses.

 

Kai Gehring est chercheur principal à l’Université de Zurich, financé par une « bourse Ambizione » de 4 ans du Fonds national suisse de la recherche scientifique. Il est titulaire d’un doctorat de l’Université de Goettingen. Il a précédemment effectué des séjours de recherche à Harvard, Cambridge, CESifo, l’Université Deakin et Stanford. Ses principaux intérêts de recherche sont l’économie politique (internationale) et le développement économique, avec un intérêt particulier pour les questions qui relient les aspects culturels et psychologiques aux théories économiques ou politiques et les intègrent dans les analyses empiriques.

 

Kai Gehring es investigador senior de la Universidad de Zúrich, financiado por una subvención –“Ambizione Grant”- de 4 años  de la Fundación Nacional Suiza de Ciencias. Tiene un doctorado de la Universidad de Goettingen. Anteriormente realizó estancias de investigación en Harvard, Cambridge, CESifo, Deakin University y Stanford. Su principal interés en la investigación es la economía política (internacional) y el desarrollo económico, con un interés especial en cuestiones que relacionan aspectos culturales y psicológicos con teorías económicas o políticas e integrarlas en análisis empíricos.
