Tasneem Kakal is a feminist youth advocate and researcher in development, currently working at Royal Tropical Institute (KIT), Amsterdam. She works at the intersection of gender and health across Africa and Asia. She has experience in grassroots initiatives in her hometown Mumbai, India where she co-founded two youth-led projects working in rural areas and urban slums. Prior to KIT, she worked with Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) and Oxfam Novib. She is a Global Shaper at World Economic Forum and a Young Leader at Women Deliver.

 

Tasneem Kakal est une jeune militante féministe et chercheuse en développement, qui travaille actuellement au Royal Tropical Institute (KIT), Amsterdam. Elle travaille à l'intersection du genre et de la santé en Afrique et en Asie. Elle a de l'expérience dans les initiatives locales dans sa ville natale de Mumbai, en Inde, où elle a cofondé deux projets dirigés par des jeunes travaillant dans les zones rurales et les bidonvilles urbains. Avant de rejoindre KIT, elle a travaillé avec Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) et Oxfam Novib. Elle est Global Shaper au Forum économique mondial et Young leader chez Women Deliver.

 

Tasneem Kakal es una defensora de la juventud feminista e investigadora en desarrollo, actualmente trabaja en el Royal Tropical Institute (KIT), Amsterdam.
