How to develop strategic social media content
Social media is an essential professional communication tool that can significantly enhance the visibility and reach of research. It enables researchers to connect with peers and interdisciplinary audiences, engage with the public and policymakers, and contribute to open science by fostering discussions and informed debate.
This workshop is designed to help participants approach social media strategically, moving beyond ad hoc posting to purposeful communication. By the end of the session, participants will feel confident getting started with social media and will leave with a simple, realistic strategy that they can apply immediately to share their work effectively.
Through its research communication platform, GlobalDev, the Global Development Network (GDN) is launching a multilingual online workshop series open to researchers interested in expanding the reach and influence of their work across English, French, and Spanish-speaking audiences. These workshops are designed to bridge the gap between academic production and public engagement. Through this initiative, GlobalDev aims to cultivate a global community of researchers who can contribute meaningfully to informed public discourse and evidence-based development policy.
