Abubakar Kheir is a licensed public health officer with over four years of experience leading, monitoring, and evaluating community health programs in rural Kenya. He has contributed to various health systems strengthening projects at both community and policy levels, including conducting community diagnosis exercises across 40 villages, disability mapping and assessments, and implementing capacity-building programs for stakeholders such as community health promoters. Abubakar excels in fostering collaboration, effectively engaging diverse stakeholders, including communities, public institutions, and private sector partners, to drive improvements in health outcomes. Drawing on his Global Health Policy background from the University of Edinburgh and strong project management skills, he designs and implements impactful health projects while conducting qualitative and desk-based research focused on Universal Health Coverage, Health Equity, and Primary Healthcare. He has supported program managers in executing community health surveys, key informant interviews (KIIs), and focus group discussions (FGDs) on issues such as nutrition, sanitation, and infectious diseases. With extensive experience working with vulnerable populations and diverse actors in the health sector, Abubakar is well-equipped to implement projects aimed at improving access to care, particularly in resource-limited settings.
