Anupam Khajuria

Dr. Anupam Khajuria joined the United Nations University, Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS), Tokyo, Japan, in 2024 as a Research Fellow and Academic Associate. Prior to joining UNU, Dr. Khajuria worked as a researcher at the UNCRD-DSDG/UN DESA in Nagoya, Japan, for almost 10 years. Her expertise lies in the realm of environmental research with an emphasis on waste and water management, circular economy, and education for sustainable development. She has extensive knowledge and experience in conducting environmental research projects, during which she published a number of research articles in the environmental sciences domain, with a specific focus on waste and water engineering, the circular economy, planetary crisis, and the pursuit of sustainable development. She has also been associated with several environmental/scientific societies and contributes to the editorial boards of a few journals, such as Circular Economy and Circular Economy of Frontier in Sustainability.
