Daniela Maquera Sardón is a Social Development Analyst at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). Previously, she served as a Junior Professional Associate (JPA) in the Poverty Department at the World Bank, where she focused on poverty reduction through a cross-cutting gender lens, supporting data analysis and policy work aimed at identifying and closing gender gaps in World Bank–supported operations. Daniela was part of the World Bank’s Latin America and Caribbean Inclusive Internship Program and has worked on socio-economic development research and projects at Mercy Corps, the Research in Color Foundation, and the New Jersey Department of State, where she served as a Project Management Coordinator. She has authored publications in global outlets on a range of economic and international development topics. Daniela holds a Master’s degree in Global Economy from the School of Economics at Fudan University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and International Relations from Seton Hall University.
