Eliana Rubiano-Matulevich is a Senior Economist with the World Bank Group’s Poverty Department in the Latin America and Caribbean Region. She has held several roles at the World Bank, including Economist in the Global Gender Group. Before joining the World Bank Group, she worked at the Inter-American Development Bank, Fedesarrollo, and the Central Bank of Colombia. At the World Bank, she has led technical work and policy dialogue on poverty, forced displacement, and gender equality, and has spearheaded analytical studies on women and girls in STEM, forced migration, and entrepreneurship. Eliana holds a PhD from Maastricht University School of Business and Economics, a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University in the City of New York, and a master’s degree in economics from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia.
