Guillaume Lhermie

Guillaume Lhermie is a professor at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and directs both Animal Affairs, a hub advancing policies for animals, and the Science to Policy at the university’s United Nations Hub. He advises the WHO, FAO, and WOAH on the economics of antimicrobial resistance and pandemic preparedness and sits on the executive committee of the Global Burden of Animal Diseases (GBADs) program. His work has taken him from livestock farms in sub-Saharan Africa to the institutions that set global health policy.
