Martin heads the German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval)’s evaluation department, Civil Society, Human Rights. He is responsible for strategic evaluations within German development cooperation at the level of instruments, programmes, institutions, and cross-cutting issues. He holds a PhD in Social Psychology and has published in both social psychology and applied evaluation research.
