Graduate Student in Global Development, SOAS University of London

Necqursha Kaloo earned her law degree from the University of Greenwich, where she developed a keen interest in immigration and human rights legislation. While studying law strengthened her dedication to justice and advocacy, it also raised broader concerns about the underlying causes of inequality, notably in health and development. Her intellectual interest drove her to go into the social sciences at SOAS University of London, where she is currently studying her Master’s degree in Global Development. Her current research interests are on global health, with an emphasis on health equality and the social and political determinants of health. She plans to get a PhD in global health and contribute to research that informs policy and drives systemic change.
