Peter Newell

Professor, University of Sussex

Peter Newell is Professor of International Relations at the University of Sussex. He is a social scientist with more than 25 years’ experience of working on climate change. He has authored and co-authored four books on the topic of climate change and edited several others. He has also published in a wide range of leading journals such as Nature, Science, Nature Climate Change, Global Environmental Change, Climate Policy, Global Environmental Politics, and many others. He has worked on different aspects of climate justice including the ‘just transition’ (Newell and Mulvaney 2013), global environmental justice (Sikor and Newell 2014), and issues of energy justice.

 

Peter Newell est professeur de relations internationales à l'Université du Sussex. Il est spécialiste des sciences sociales avec plus de 25 ans d’expérience dans le domaine du changement climatique. Il est l'auteur et le co-auteur de quatre livres sur le thème du changement climatique et en a édité plusieurs autres. Il a également publié dans un large éventail de revues de premier plan telles que Nature, Science, Nature Climate Change, Global Environmental Change, Climate Policy, Global Environmental Politics, et bien d'autres. Il a travaillé sur différents aspects de la justice climatique, notamment la «transition juste» (Newell et Mulvaney 2013), la justice environnementale mondiale (Sikor et Newell 2014) et les questions de justice énergétique.
