Dr Ratan Kumar Roy is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at South Asian University, a university established by the SAARC nations. He is also an Adjunct Faculty of the Centre for International Development, Social Entrepreneurship and Leadership (CIDSEL), University of Sunshine Coast, Australia and an Affiliate Faculty of the K-Culture-Story Content Research Institute of Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea. His research interests include anthropology of media and communication, transcultural flow, fandom and subcultures, digital cultures, ethnography, visual storytelling, and gender and inclusion in South Asia.
