How to write an effective blog

Impact happens when research is clearly communicated and used in policy and practice.  Blogs are one of the most effective and accessible ways to bring research into public discussion and reach wider audiences.

This workshop is designed to help participants translate their research into engaging, accessible blog content. By the end of the session, participants will feel confident starting their own blog writing and will leave with a clear, step-by-step approach that they can apply immediately.

Through its research communication platform, GlobalDev, the Global Development Network (GDN) is launching a multilingual online workshop series open to researchers interested in expanding the reach and influence of their work across English, French, and Spanish-speaking audiences. These workshops are designed to bridge the gap between academic production and public engagement. Through this initiative, GlobalDev aims to cultivate a global community of researchers who can contribute meaningfully to informed public discourse and evidence-based development policy.
